Aguas Calientes

Literally meaning "hot water", the town of Aguas Calientes at the base of Macchu Pichu is the main resting point for the numerous hikers at the end of the Inca Trail.

The name refers to the hot springs, which would have provided a welcome respite from the four days of hiking. Except they were under repair from a recent landslide. Most people catch the return train home to Cusco immediately, but I decided to relax and spent a night and the following day in the town.
